National Truck
Protection Video

National Truck Protection — better known as NTP in the world of commercial semi trucks — has a long history in providing warranties to owner-operators of used trucks, but they hadn’t stretched themselves into the world of video yet. After UpperNinety provided them with a couple successful forays into radio, establishing the right tone and voice for their audio, NTP felt ready to make the leap into moving pictures. They wanted to keep it inexpensive, but they also wanted quality, which isn’t always an easy feat.

Cut to the result: The video was so successful that some national used truck companies, such as Arrow Used Trucks, wanted a co-branded video for their own site, and NTP decided English wasn’t the only language it should be in.

Video production from start to finish

This is a good, solid video. While we at UpperNinety enjoy digging our hands into unique, conceptual work, we also understand that sometimes the job requires something that manages to be both enticing and straightforward, giving the customer all of the information they need in a way that doesn’t distract from the message. This video has that in spades, fully outlining exactly what NTP does, how its offering is a benefit to customers, and what problems it solves.

And while we’re quite happy with the final product, we love what the video represents as far as UpperNinety’s wide range of capabilities. We handled every aspect of video production for this project. We wrote the script and worked with NTP to ensure the tone and voice matched what we created for their radio spots. We found the right voiceover talent and scheduled time with the recording studio. We sourced all the images, video clips and music used in the finished product, and we worked with an editor to get the video into the perfect spot.

With our large roster of on-call talent, we were able to put together a smart, effective video on a quick timeline and on a budget that would be impossible at a traditional advertising agency:

¿En español, por favor?

When something is good, it’s only fair for everyone to see it and understand it. So when NTP asked UpperNinety to make a Spanish version of the video, we jumped right in. Working with a translator and Spanish voiceover talent, we recreated the video for Spanish-speaking owner-operators. We’ve never worked in another language before, so this took us out of our comfort zones — in a great way.
